The story is that the Russian Fleet came to Stockholm, stopped in front of this building and gave a 21 gun solute.. Problem was that the Russians thought it was the Royal Palace, but it was in fact an old persons home!! ooops
The Vasa. This ship was build in 1625. Twenty minutes into its maiden voyage, it sank!. Then sat at the bottom of Stockholm harbor for 300+ years. It was refloated in 1961, towed to a drydock and is now preserved in the Vasa Museum. It is huge.....
